This week, Gourmet Ads celebrates our 5th Birthday.
My original concept was simple – I wanted to create a business that sold advertising space next to recipes online. I recall creating the first set of Ad Tags and watching them load on the site. Gourmet Ads now serves over 200 Million ads a month around the globe across 350 food sites.
Along for the ride has been our close partners Cox Digital Solutions (previously Adify), Ad2One and Mediative who help us provide a “global presence”. New to our list of partners is Appnexus and Rubicon. Both of which provide us exceptional ad serving infrastructure and technology.
2013 already has been a year of ad server migration and expansion. In the coming weeks we’ll be launching an innovative product for advertisers. Watch this space.

Finally, I’d like to thank my wonderful wife Jen, who has been there alongside me from the beginning. There of course have been good times and tough times, but she has always been there. I’m sure having a husband who works long hours and endless global travel must be hard.
So while I review the business plan for the next 12 months, I know the direction we’re heading towards. But I don’t have a crystal ball and have no idea where the dynamic and ever changing Online Advertising industry is heading. But I have no doubt that Gourmet Ads will be there putting our spin on it!
